Washington State Building and Construction Trades Council Pre-Apprenticeship Construction Education (PACE) is a free 11-week intensive apprenticeship preparation program that provides training in hand & power tool use, exposure to the construction trades, fitness, blueprint reading, trades math and job preparation. Students will be trained at and earn certification in: flagging, OSHA 10, First Aid/CPR, forklift and 40-hour hazwoper. Students must pass a drug test, be at least 18 years old, GED/high school diploma preferred (but not required). Students will be selected in a competitive 2-day try out. PACE will assist students through the relicensing process for driver’s licenses and through their apprenticeship process. PACE serves a diverse population. Women, men, people of color, ex-offenders, veterans are all encouraged to apply. Everyone starts with PACE by attending one of our orientations.
